How do maintenance jobs work?
Faults from housekeeping and reception land on Maintenance, where they are taken, updated and finished.
Open Maintenance. The tabs are Open, Mine, Planned checks and Done. Each job shows where it is, how urgent it is and whether you can get into the room now (for example Guest staying: knock first).
- Tap a job, then Take this job.
- Use Add update for notes (and photos, with Premium), or Waiting for parts, then Parts here, carry on.
- Tap Done, say what you did and tap Mark as done. If the room was out of order, tick Put room back in service so it goes to housekeeping to clean.
Anyone who can open Maintenance can add a job with + New job. Managers, supervisors and maintenance managers can set Assigned to and Reopen a finished job.
Planned checks are recurring jobs like fire alarm tests. Tap Set up planned checks or Add common UK hotel checks, and Mark done each time; the next due date moves on.
